Crazy Chicas and New Moon

These are my Arkansas Chicas - Me, Lenka, Lisa, Kristin, Ronda, Ginny, Debra, Tiffany, and Paula. We missed you this year, Toni.

We had dinner at Carinos (well within stumbling distance of the theater) and tried hard to have as much fun and be as loud as we could. I'm proud of our efforts!
I don't want to talk about my hair here

Tiff and Lisa, you can barely see them thru all the empty mixed drink glasses

Paula, who brought her brand new baby boy to tease us with

Kristin and Ginny

Debra and Ronda

Tiffany, Lenka, Lisa, Me, Ronda, Ginny, and Kristin

Lenka and Tiffany. Lenka's preparing to talk throughout the WHOLE movie!

Me and the beautiful (big mouth) Lenka

Lisa and me. Not completely spazzing out before the movie starts :)

As for my official opinion of the movie... I really didn't know how to sum up my feelings for a review of the movie. Then the proverbial light bulb came on above my head. This little convo kinda sums it up.

Sexy Beast - You never told me about the movie, if you liked it or not.

Me - Eh, it was ok.

SB - Just ok? After all that build up?

Me - Yeah, those two who play Bella and Edward irritate me so they kinda ruin it for me. That punk isn't my Edward. However, Jacob is a whole other story. He's my Jacob! I can see becoming a Cougar for that sexy th... *I stop in the middle due to the look on SB's face.*

SB - What?

Me - *Giggling* He's just a nice looking kid that I can't take my eyes off and that takes my mind off wanting to rip Patty Boy's hair.

SB - Oh, really?

Me - *More Giggling* Yeah. I didn't really know how I was going to review it for the blog but now I do.

SB - Oh, so you baited me for the blog? You're an ass. Be sure to put that in your blog.

*********************************************

So really, the movie was good. I love the story so much. This story! Not this interpretation of itIt's true that I don't get the appeal of Patty Boy what-so-ever and he in no way, shape, form, or fashion resembles MY Edward. But maybe that's because I'm not 12. And I appreciate men who wash their hair. Having to see him as Edward makes me want to shove the dull end of a toothpick into my eyelids. A huge plus for New Moon, he's gone for most of it.
Best thing about New Moon, Edward is gone and Jacob comes onscreen and makes me just wanna lick him. As soon as he turns 18 of course, pervs.
And that brings us to Bella. Bella was my least fave character in the book but I figured they cast someone who could make me see the error of my ways and become a Bella fan. Didn't happen. I can't really put my finger on what specifically bothers me about her...hmmm...maybe I don't have enough fingers.
I plan on seeing the movie at least once more in the theater. I loved the movie simply because I love the story so much. I'll never back down from loving the Twilight Saga but if I didn't hate losing so damn bad I'd totally switch to Team Jacob for the movies. I'm still Team Edward in my heart but my heart can't see Jacob onscreen. So what's a girl to do?

Thank You, finally someone who agrees with me!!! WTF is up with that scrawny scared-as-a-rabbit looking Patty playing the Luscious Edward? I don't get it either. And yes, Bella is whiny enough in the book, I don't need that snobby Kristen Stewart adding to my dislike. But oh, oh oh oh...Jacob can stay. Oh yes, we need more shirtless Jacob! Please!? I could lick his smile and bite his arm...And I also saw it with my hubby and could not/did not share my views on the deliciousness of Jacob...sigh....

Ok, at the risk of being run out of town I'm going to just say it. I'm not a Twilight fan. But I'm even less of a fan of the guy that plays Edward. He kind of makes my skin crawl. And not in a good way. But even reading the book, I was Team Jacob. It looks like the movie Jacob just might be enough incentive to get me to watch the things.

I'm late to the Twilight party and just joined with New Moon the movie (after a 30-minute briefing on the first movie and books from my friend).

So far, I agree Edward is the better man. But OMG Jacob. I turn into a 17 year old at just the thought.

Yes, I, too am being called a cougar, especially by my eldest son (who is 4 months older than the actor who plays Jacob) - EEKK! Edward and Bella annoy the crap out of me in the movie, but I will probably see it again just for the "You're hurt! Let me help you." (pulls off shirt) scene.

Bella is so freaking whiny. She drives me nuts in Eclipse the most. I just have to remind myself that the movies are no where near the books awesomeness and then I can kind of enjoy the movies a bit, but the books are so so so much better.

Well, here it comes.... Don't hate me because I'm beautiful... no, wait, that's the wrong line! Don't hate me because I hate everything Twilight! Whiney girls, skinny, pasty, unwashed boys. (OK the wolf-boy that I've seen on talk shows does have great abs, but he is a CHILD!! Younger that my own children - EEEWWWW!!) I think it is just weird that grown women ask these actors to augograph their underware and various body parts - sickos....
OK, I hope we are all still friends, please, I really need you all!! :-)

Oh God. I can't believe you feel this way because it's EXACTLY how I feel.

1. I can't stand Bella and Edward...no wait, I can't stand the actors who play them...they bug me big time. I would enjoy the whole thing if these tow boring bores weren't it in.

2. Team Jacob....sad he's only 17, but holy God he's hot.

3. Did I mention Jacob????

I still lay claim to the hot vampire you know. I am so sad I didn't get to go , now what are we going to do when/if we move back to florida...I vote we have the Twilight party there, we can all throw glitter on ourselves and go to the noon showing and watch people stare.
