You know after hearing the author describe how Spike Jone(z)s had to change the story a bit to make it work on film I have totally lost interest in seeing this. Too much hype for me, however I could use some laughter so I am looking forward to seeing The Vampires Assistant.
I don't think it is weird if you go alone.... I wish we lived closer, I'd go with you. The Hubs doesn't want to go with me, he thinks I'm a weirdo for wanting to go see it. He just doesn't understand that it is the BEST. BOOK. EVER. WRITTEN. for kids. When I say that, I just get this blank look, like, DUH?? I'm gonna make him go anyway for all the movies he's made me see. Hey... what the hell is the new section coming soon??? Inquiring minds (and nosey bitches) want to know!!!! Tell me - Tell me!!
I think hubby and I are more excited to see this then Aiden. We may end up making it a date night and sticking the boys with a sitter and spongebob. :)
Omg, of course go alone and THEN take the kids.. It'll be much more enjoyable for all of you.. You won't be fussing at them and miss the movie and they won't look back and think about what a bitch you were for fussing at them during the movie! Lol!
I took the girls to see it this past weekend and LOVED IT!! The soundtrack was great... the story was perfect... make sure you take tissues with you...

I'd go with you! Pity you live a few miles away.

Let us know how it is! I wanna go see it, too!
I CAN'T WAIT EITHER- I was thinking of going by myself tomorrow while Cortney is in school- ILMAO!
Not wrong at all to go see it yourself. I'm considering that too, but mostly because I want to review it before I decide whether to take the kids.
Looks pretty darned cool though.
Too funny! I think I might want to see it more than my kids too. I loved the book as a kid and B even has my copy I read as a kid.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
