This is where you all say "Hi, Sissy!" so I know you accept me because you are all as screwed up as I am.
I color my hair all the time. From red to black and everything in between. But not blonde because really, some women just shouldn't be blonde. And I'm always planning my next cut. It never ends. It likely will never end.
Okay, so Nikki did this to her hair.
And I loved it so I put that color on the underneath layers of my hair. No photos of it but take my word for it, it didn't look like hers. The Sexy Beast made a face and asked me how old I was. We'll discuss his punishment later.
Turns out Nikki's basketball coach isn't gonna go for the red so we decided it would be best to color over it. I went to the store to get the color and damned if I didn't do something I said I'd never do.
If anyone unfollows me over this, it's gonna be on!
We are broke so... I got a haircut at Wal-Mart.
Oh the shame!
It was just a trim really and it actually turned out fine. But damn this recession! Now there'll be no way in hell to convince the Sexy Beast that my hair care needs require an overpriced salon while I send him and the boys off to Super Cuts. Shit! How will I ever unring this bell?
When I got home from my haircut that noone even noticed, thank you very much, we did Nikki's hair in the dark brown - Espresso to be exact. I also did the Espresso on the top of my hair and a red/purple (Brilliant Burgundy) underneath. The burgundy doesn't POP like I'd hoped but it's ok. It's more noticeable in natural light than in the sparse light from the dungeon that is my bathroom. Anyway, it's not like it's gonna stay this way for long.

Sexy Beast's punishment? Home haircuts. If you had to give up the salon; then he can give up Super Cuts! :)
Holy hair color! I guess I am pretty boring when it comes to color but it just comes down to the fact that I am too cheap to do.

I'm far to picky about who touches my hair, I've been going to the same girl for 3 years and before that I followed my stylist from salon to salon for 7 years until she disappeared. Luckily, for my budget, I'm not an addict!

I just started going to an expensive salon after many years of Supercuts & hubs still is not freaking out or anything so I'm NOT going to pass on your little walmart story k?
Getting mine cut and colored tomorrow and was just thinking of going a little red... love the cut and color!
Wallmart? Wallmart? Now they are cutting hair? Pretty soon they will have a GYN doing Paps. I would not stop following for coloring or cutting hair, but if you tell me you scheduled your next exam there, well ......
I was just chewed out by my skinny, tiny, waif of a niece who we celebrated getting her license (Cosmetology) today, for not dying mine (yes I have very pronounced grey hair. Frankly I have been LAZY and poor, I really only care if my hair is clean). So I have been told I NEED to color my hair (or never be seen with her again in public). I reminded her I could break her like a twig.
I like the darker brown you, since I do not have a before and after of the cut I remain neutral.

Everytime I come visit you, prepare that my hair will be different. If I visit you, that means i visit Krystle...AKA BFF and owns her own salon.

O.K., I follow you BECAUSE you get your haircut at WalMart!!! You are a real human with real life issues, just like me.... I haven't had a real haircut in a YEAR!!!! I've been trimming mine myself. And the last one I did get was free because I donated to Locks of Love. We live on Social Security for darn sake... I've had to STOP coloring my hair (a tragedy I must say -- I used to be every shade of red ever made!!) because it cost too much to have done and I cannot do it myself because of a herniated cervical disc and nerve damage in my hands.
I, must say though, I literally spit out coffee laughing when I read the comment from Debra about the GYN at WalMart.... I mean, why not? They are already doing eye exams????????

When I lived in Kansas, the only place that didn't mess up my hair was guy at the Walmart salon. I was so sad when he went home to Oklahoma. I love the streaks of color in hair. LOVE THEM. I am chicken and have not done mine yet, but love, love, love blue and purple in dark hair.

your secret is safe with me, and i admit, it looks like a good cut. i have to admit, i had no idea walmart had a hair salon. next thing ya know, they'll be doing pap smears. oh no! did i say that????
I remember paying just slightly $200 for an upscale cut, color & highlight years ago.
The most boring haricut I've ever gotten. It looked plain & dull.
Then out of desperation & humiliation for having paid that crazy kind of money for a freaking haircut & color, I went to some hole in the wall place ' something like Fantastic Sams & got one seriously cute & fab cut & color! Paid like $30 total.
Went back to have the same girl cut/color my hair again & she had quit & moved to another state.
Devastated!
Why, why oh why can't I find a decent, well-priced & consistently fabulous haircut by a great stylist?

Your hair looks great I love the cut you have. I'm guilty to of coming home from the beauty shop and just not ever knowing what to expect. Recently we had a family wedding the brides grandmother (my aunt) told me to please not come back with it some wild hairstyle or color. I started to on purpose but figured we had enough family drama without my hair being an issue.

I have been putting off cutting my hair, partially to being lazy, but I cut and dye my hair so often that my family always expects something different every time they see me. I haven't dyed my hair in so long because I'm pregnant and I'm a little worried what might happen but after this post I feel that I will have a blog post of my own showing off my new hair very soon.

My hubby understands a woman needs a good haircut. I hate spending the money. The person I found in MD charges $50 plus tip. It is painful but I am scared to try someone else. I have gone to the cheap chain places and had mixed results. If you find someone good you are set just always ask for them. I have also had my hair messed up a few times which is why I am scared to find new stylists.
I know you weren't in Mena and didn't call or come visit!! Haircut is cute BTW!!
