and can't get these 2 balloons down from the freakin' skylight. 
It's 15 feet up there! You got stuck with Sucky Mom and I got Super Brats for kids. Life ain't fair!

OMG, I kind of hate dealing with balloons. They create about 10 seconds of happiness and then inevitably all hell breaks loose when someone else wants to hold it or it floats away or breaks. At our last party, we tied the balloons to the porch so our kids couldn't see them and then hid them in the basement after everyone went home!
If you were really "Mommy Dearest" then you would have got the balloon down by throwing something sharp at it (removing the pesky helium would make it come down, heh heh).
Super Mom might have turned the air on high hoping the cool temp would cause the gas to contract and the balloon might have come down to a reasonable height to get it.
Hmmm, I vote for "Joan"! Why should you be the only one miserable....
Oh give it a couple of days and it will come down on its own.

balloons are the devil in disguise.
I'd probably tell my kids, give a few days and the balloons will come to you... :)
